Outside, everyone finds eggs except Flopsey. Flopsey, however, was certain that she would - and she would not quit until she did! As night fell and the others quit, Flopsey continued, with the others checking on her all through the night. Finally, as morning came, Flopsey finally found her own special egg! Her mother tucked her in and smiled at Flopsey's perseverance and her success. There are, I am willing to bet, parents in this world who think... "wait, the bunny stayed out all day and all night? What a terrible message to send my child!" Those parents are insane, but they exist, so I acknowledge them and advise them... go read something else to your child. It's a bunny, and if you can't wrap your head around the fact that your child won't stay out all night because a bunny did it, you should probably also worry that your child will go live in an underground burrow, as well.Oh, and for the religious Christians, there's no Jesus in this book.Everyone else... this is a cute book and tape set. It's not especially Easter-y, with the moral being more important than the egg hunt, but taking advantage of the holiday to share that sort of moral isn't a bad thing! The text is fairly simple, and reading will be helped by following along with the tape. The illustrations are colorful and fun, without being the bulk of the book.If you happen to buy it used, without the tape, you'll survive. The story doesn't need the tape. Make your own! Your kid will love that.- AnnaLovesBooks
